TIG Manual

The TIG Manual is the foundation of TIG training.  Ever changing, the Manual includes all of the training modules, including PowerPoints and handouts.  Successful completion of TIG training, that takes place over a one year period, ensures that all participants have a common knowledge base and philosophy.

The Manual includes information from the six modules of the Core Curriculum:

Grief & Loss

Trauma

Suicide Risk & Intervention

Illness & Injury

School Violence

TIG Implementation

Module III: Suicide Risk and Intervention

Module three of the TIG Core Curriculum is Suicide Risk and Intervention.  This module provides an overview of Youth Suicide, including risk and preventive factors, warning signs, assessing risk, and emergency intervention.  Participants have an opportunity to work together on possible Scenarios.

Time is also devoted to access and availability of local mental health resources.

Allow children to be the teachers of their grief experiences. Give children the opportunity to tell their story.
